Some days I feel like we're back in 1950 because patriarchy and sexism are still so present in our lives. Then I see things like this and realize how far we've come.

This makes me appreciate my grandmoms and mom for living through this when this was the norm in our culture. I also want to shout out an appreication for the women (Betty Friedan, Charolette Gilman) who put a name to this creepy phenomenon.
I have a paper copy of this hanging on a board at my house and it never fails to elicit gasps of outrage and laughter from everyone who reads it.
I think it's so important to keep stuff like this around to remind us of how far we've come and of how much work still has to be done, as some people still believe this crap!
