i got this tattoo tonight.it's my compassion meditation - my remembrance that i am a survivor of violence and all survivors are just like me.
i want to treat myself as gently as i wish all survivors were treated.
does that make sense? i really do want to know.

I love it! The color, the font - it's gorgeous! And I think the message and intention behind it is pretty darn beautiful too.

kick ass Linda. That was the best thing to see when I walked into work today.
I really like that, Linda! I immediately thought of when people in my life have said "that's just you" or "only you, Abby" in a derogatory way. To be able to turn it around and say something good about myself and then "just like me" would be a really excellent affirmation.
I'm curious to know more about what the words on your tattoo mean to you.
