In Other Words on Bread and Roses 12/26

Join us on Bread and Roses Friday December 26, for a conversation with local activists about their grassroots fundraising efforts in our community. We will be joined by Althea Lazero from In Other Words feminist bookstore about efforts to save the store. In Other Words has come under strain in recent months because of the financial crisis, and they've put out a call to the community to help save the store.
Find out more information on helping save the last non-profit feminist bookstore in the nation at www. inotherwords. org

We'll also welcome Pastor Mary Overstreet Smith, to talk with her about her grassroots fundraising efforts in our community. Among her many accolades, Pastor Mary organized a group of people to help after Hurricane Katrina, and she is also a founder of North by Northeast Community Health Clinic -- bringing free health care to the Northeast Portland community.

We'll also be taking calls at the end of the show -- asking you to share your ideas about unique and effective methods of grassroots fundraising.

Join us! Friday December 26, 6:00 pm on 90.
