ACTION ALERT: Your Participation is Needed to Defend the Health Rights of Women

Please take action today by sending a letter to the Department of Health and Human Services opposing the recent rule submitted by Secretary Leavitt that would, essentially, allow any health care provider the right to deny "abortion" due to their personal beliefs. The rule is really ill-defined and has the possibility for manipulation allowing health care providers to deny a woman's access to birth control or other contraceptives, and not just abortion. It includes no exceptions for rape or incest survivors.

I've been following this for a while and the deadline to submit a letter sneaked up on me today, so if you're reading this please take action now.

Please send a letter at the link above, or here, and help defend the rights that so many civil rights pioneers fought for in the 1970's.
